  1. Approval of Minutes
  • Motion by Tess and seconded by Terry to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.

  1. Financial Report
  • Bridget provided the following financial report:
  • Bank balance as of April 30, 2026 $9,375.84
  • Outstanding Cheque total $2,652.74
  • Balance after cheques $6,723.10
  • Pending Deposits 50% of 2026 Operating Budget $22,347.50 and Balance of 2025 Budget $2,000 Total Pending Deposits $24,347.50
  • Capital Works Balance owing $35,600.00.
  • Tess asked about the Pending $2,000 amount and it was explained that the City keeps back 5% of the total Operating Budget each year in the event there is any outstanding amounts owed to the City. This amount is then released in the early part of the new year.
  • Motion by Terry and seconded by Tess to approve the Financial Report. Passed.

  1. Marketing
  • David was unable to attend.
  • Tess said that the four posts on Instagram are really good.
  • Brett suggested getting triangle banners to put around the planters. Tess was concerned that some would be destroyed.  Terry will get a quote with our name on.
  • Will be using the same arrangements that were to be part of the May 30 Dog show to go forward to Open Streets on September 20th.
  1. Capital Works
  • The banners are being installed.
  • The entrance markers will be installed in the next two to three weeks. The cement bases for each entrance banner pole has to be installed and allowed to set.
  • There have been some banners that need to be reinstalled on the poles as they are too close to the wiring. Angelstar is responsible to do this and has been advised that the work needs to be done.
  • There is a gap in the banners in 4700 block of Wyandotte. This is due to the fact that Wyandotte Street was not originally slated to have the banners.  Instead address banners were to be installed on the buildings.  However, not enough building owners would agree to have the banners put on their building, so the money was switched to pole banners, but the pole banners were more costly than the address banners.  A new proposal will be submitted to the city in 2027 to fill in the banners within 4700 block.  The cost is approximately $40,000 and there is insufficient money left in the current project account to cover the additional banners.
  1. Board of Directors
  • Bridget indicated that a letter has been sent by Canada Post to all Property and Business owners asking for volunteers to become part of the Board of Directors. It was sent by Canada Post rather than email, as it was felt that it might get looked at and perhaps some people would come forward.
  1. New/Old Business
  • Brett Sereres has agreed to become a Board Member.
  • Brett indicated that one of his clients has a low bed truck that we could use during events.
  • Parking: Apartment residents are parking on the street and taking up customer spaces. Jo-Anne has requested a review of parking due to cars not moving.  A complete review of parking is going to be done by the City.
